: You do not need a medical prescription to consult an orthotist at our clinics. However, depending on the type of product (custom-made or prefabricated), a prescription may be required. For example, medical items such as foot orthotics, custom orthotics, compression stockings of 20mmHg or more, or devices for the treatment of sleep apnea generally require a prescription.
: Your prescription is valid for several years, but some insurance companies require a new one for each renewal of orthotics or compression stockings. We recommend checking with your insurer.
: These products must be prescribed by an authorized healthcare professional, according to insurance requirements. This may include a medical specialist (orthopedist, physiatrist, rheumatologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, geriatrician), a general practitioner, a podiatrist, or, in some cases, a nurse practitioner specialized in primary care (IPSPL).
: It is important to check your policy and coverage details with your private insurance provider. During your appointment, the orthotist will also review your prescription and confirm its validity.
: To book an appointment with one of our professionals (orthotist, respiratory therapist, or compression fitter), click the “Book an Appointment” button at the bottom of the page or in the main menu. You’ll be directed to our online booking platform where you can enter your information. A team member will call you back to confirm your appointment.

Many people confuse orthotics and prosthetics, but the distinction is simple. A prosthesis replaces a limb or part of a limb. An orthosis is used to support, immobilize, or improve the function of a limb. There are various types of orthoses: functional, supportive, corrective, etc.

A simple everyday example :

Glasses are orthotics, they improve vision.
Dentures are prosthetics, they replace teeth.

Compression stockings are useful in several situations:

Medical care : to prevent or treat poor blood circulation.
Pregnancy : to prevent or relieve the feeling of heavy legs and the appearance of varicose veins.
Everyday use :
- During long trips by plane or car;
- When sitting or standing for extended periods;
- To aid in recovery during or after physical activity.

There are several mask types depending on your needs :

Nasal pillow mask : fits inside the nostrils (more invasive, for nasal breathing only).
Nasal mask : covers the nose but not the nostrils (also for nasal breathing).
Full face (nasal-oral) mask : designed for those who breathe through the mouth or cannot tolerate nasal masks.

We offer a 10-business-day return or exchange policy with receipt. The product must be intact and in its original packaging. Some items that come into direct contact with the skin are excluded.

You benefit from a 6-month warranty on modifications and adjustments after receiving your orthotics or prosthetics. Custom-made orthotics are non-refundable, as they are manufactured specifically for you. All details are printed on the back of your invoice.

Yes, at the Longueuil and Sherbrooke locations. The at-home WatchPAT ONE test is simple, single-use, and allows for sleep apnea screening from the comfort of your home. A medical prescription is required (from a general practitioner, specialist, or specialized nurse practitioner – IPSPL). The service is not covered by the RAMQ, but it may be reimbursed by private insurance. The results are analyzed by a pulmonologist and provided within 3 to 4 weeks.

A biomechanical assessment is a clinical tool used to analyze the relationship between your joints, posture, and movement—particularly during walking. It enables the orthotist to form a complete picture of your body’s mechanics and detect any imbalances or abnormalities.

It includes the following steps :

Assessment of joint range of motion
Posture and alignment observation
Gait analysis
Plantar pressure analysis
