Compression and orthotics for pregnant women

Add comfort to your happiness. It’s confirmed, you are pregnant! You are embarking on this great great adventure full of joy, but perhaps also with a few small questions. How are you going to experience all these changes? Because, yes, there will be changes in your life, hormonal, psychological and physical. Each quarter has its share of small and large events. Have you planned them? Here are some tips to help you have a comfortable pregnancy.

A pregnancy of your own

Every baby is unique and so is the pregnancy that precedes it. The way the body responds is different from woman to woman and from pregnancy to pregnancy. Thus, he adapts to hormones in his own way: larger or smaller belly, more or less radiant skin, nausea… a little, a lot or not at all.

No problem, we are here to help you find the means to adapt well to this new adventure of motherhood! Pregnancy, childbirth and the recovery that follows are intense experiences for both body, heart and mind. The arrival of a baby is one of the most important events in life. Why not put all the chances on your side to live these moments as comfortably as possible? There are a variety of solutions available to you to beautify your motherhood.

Compression Stockings

For heavy and tired legs, wearing compression stockings is an affordable and effective solution. They can reduce the risk of venous insufficiency and varicose veins, and they can also soothe discomfort. You can wear compression stockings early in pregnancy or when you notice swelling to both combat health risks and invigorate your legs. In addition to soothing the discomfort of pregnancy, compression stockings can also prevent and relieve varicose veins.

Mom-to-be Maternity Belt

A mom-to-be maternity belt provides excellent abdominal and lumbar support throughout your pregnancy, helps ease fatigue and pain in the ligaments and muscles of your lower back, and promotes better posture. The stretchy belt has an extra side elastic band you can adjust to control the amount of pressure, too.

Consider wearing one for a few hours during the day, like when you’re most active and mobile, for example. While maternity belts and belly bands are supportive tools to ease carrying additional weight from your baby during pregnancy, wear them intermittently rather than for prolonged daily use. They can also help relieve the back and stomach discomfort you might experience after pregnancy.

Sacroiliac Belt

A sacroiliac belt is one of the easiest ways to reduce pelvic pain you might experience during pregnancy. Similar to a maternity belt, the elastic waistband with fabric lining provides slight compression and continuous comfort. It stabilizes your back and pelvic joints, aiming to reduce back pain, discomfort or pain by supporting and compensating for the additional weight load brought on by baby. The back joints are kept stabilized, which helps reduce discomfort from back pain. You wear it around your hips, over or under your clothes.

Positioning Cushions for Knees

A positioning cushion is helpful when laying on your side during your pregnancy, whether for overnight sleep, naps, or general rest. You can use a positioning or pregnancy pillow anytime, though many women start when they experience difficulty sleeping or resting, usually around 20 weeks when your belly visibly grows larger. It can make it easier to fall asleep, allow you to have a longer and deeper sleep, and help maximize blood flow to your baby without undue pressure on other organs.

The gel-infused foam of this positioning cushion  gives postural support for your knees, hips, calves, and ankles, helping minimize aches and pains. The cushion’s thickness and density position and support your legs correctly during sleep to decrease lumbar stress and tension.
